Vocabulary wheels are a great tool for students to learn, reinforce and practice vocabulary. Each wheel covers one topic and includes 32 items of vocabulary. As students turn the wheel, each picture can be seen accompanied by the corresponding word in 5 different languages (French, Spanish, German, Italian and English). The wheel can be used as a picture dictionary to help students find out the words for themselves or as an alternative to flashcards to help them assimilate the words. Students can also use them to practice vocabulary from a topic, for example by creating sentences from the vocabulary on each wheel. Because they are so versatile, the wheels are suitable for any level. On a language-awareness level, they can be used for comparing vocabulary in different languages.
